Hello!

My name is Schin Loong and I am the calligrapher and artist behind Open Ink Stand Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As a professional graphic artist and illustrator with a BFA from Ringling College of Art & Design, I bring you 10 years of experience in combining lettering design with my distinct artistic vision.

Both my calligraphy and illustrations has been featured in various publications and recent celebrity clients include Mariah Carey.

I am a calligraphy teacher and author of Calligraphic Drawing: A How To Guide and Gallery Exploring the Art of the Flourish.

As a member of IAMPETH (The International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting) and The Fabulous Las Vegas Scribes, I have presented at College of Southern Nevada and taught workshops for the calligraphy guilds in California, New York, Hong Kong, and Las Vegas.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing piano, fetch with my dog Wuffles and pinball. 

In 2016 I provided promotional calligraphy art for Opus Place Atlanta, the city's tallest condo building designed by Richard Meier. In 2020 I created a calligraphy portrait for the Utah Jazz as a farewell present for former owner Karen Gail Miller. I have also provided calligraphy services for Mariah Carey, Elaine Wynn, Alexandra Balahoutis and Peony Lim.

My work has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, BRIDES, Southern Weddings Magazine, 100 Layer Cake, Pen World Magazine, Dasherie, HBO's Game of Thrones Compendium and Photoshop Creative. My artwork has been seen in ImagineFX, Advanced Photoshop, Fantasy Artist Magazine, Digital Artist Magazine, Exotique and Expose.

Recent clients include: Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Burberry, Anthropologie, Montblanc, Chloé, Couture Design Awards, Casa Dragones, Remy Martin Louis XIII, Art Institute of Chicago and Mohawk Fine Papers.
